Candili is an estate which can be yours to run a seminar or course, or to host your group of friends for a holiday, or a weekend. It has perfect facilities for up to 25 people, a peaceful, and beautiful natural environment amongst the pine forests of North Euboea.
Retreats and seminars take place in Candili, run by leaders who organize their own programme. We provide the hospitality and catering in an atmosphere conducive to creativity and relaxation, so that a leader can concentrate on the important issues relating to his or her course. We can also arrange transfers and outings.

Candili consists of the main house building (Konaki) and the Granary outbuildings which have been converted into 10 ensuite rooms. The two can be rented together or separately for a variety of different functions.

Since 1832 Candili has been owned by the Noel and Noel-Baker family. The estate was bought by Edward Noel, a relative of Lord Byron, an artist, poet, educationalist and prominent Philhellene.

At the time when the Euboea had not yet been liberated with the rest of Greece at independence, he was invited by Count Kapodistrias, the first governor of Greece, to buy the estate on Euboea in order to encourage the Turks to leave the island. The Noel-Baker family has been there ever since. Politicians, writers, artists and prominent figures such as Virginia Woolf and Maria Callas have been their guests over the years As the life of the estate has evolved, so its buildings have been converted to their present form and function.
