The Candili Estate is producing its own organic honey again.

Would you like some?

One of Edward Noel’s products of the Achmetaga Estate in the 1800s was….honey. The extensive variety of flowers, especially heather, herbs such as thyme and oregano, and the pines and other trees of the forests of North Euboea have always attracted beekeepers and their bees from all over Greece.

Six generations later, the Noel-Baker boys have installed 12 hives in the south facing olive grove at Ktounia and we have just harvested our first pots of honey. In addition to keeping our own hives, we are collaborating with other local beekeepers operating in our forest, including those from the north of the island, devastated by forest fires last year.
